How is your lower back feeling? Hips a little tight? You’ll probably want to hit some hip mobility before you start your deadlifts today.

Not sure what any of that means…then take this test. Can you sit on a chair and elevate both of your legs to a 90 degree angle, all the while maintaining a good upright flat back position?

Did your chest drop, did you lose your upright position? Or did you have difficulty achieving that angle due to lack of range of motion. Then you need to pay attention my friends. If you aren’t taking care of these things now you are inevitably creating more problems for yourself down the road. A wise man once said, “all human beings should be able to perform basic maintenance on themselves.”

Pay attention to what your body is telling you and do something about it.
